Data deletion
Last updated: 30 September 2026
You can remove your data from GoldenSocial Connect at any time. There are four ways, depending on how much you want to remove.
1. Delete single leads
Sign in and open Leads. Open a lead and delete it; it is removed from your queue straight away.
2. Disconnect an account
Sign in, open Connections and disconnect the Facebook Page, Instagram account or WhatsApp number. We delete its access tokens straight away, so we can no longer read anything from it. Leads that already came from it stay in your queue until you delete them.
3. Delete your whole account
Sign in, open Settings → Danger zone, type your password and confirm. Your account and everything in it is deleted at once. If you cannot sign in, email [contact email — to be confirmed] from the address you signed up with.
4. Remove the app from Facebook
In Facebook, go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites, find GoldenSocial Connect and choose Remove. Facebook then calls our data deletion callback automatically, and we delete the connected accounts and data we received through your Facebook login.
What gets deleted
- your account details (email, name, password hash);
- your connected accounts and their encrypted access tokens;
- the comments, messages, Lead Ads forms and saved posts in your queue, with their statuses and notes;
- your keywords and webhook settings.
We complete deletion within 30 days of your request. Backups are overwritten on their normal cycle. We may keep a record that a deletion happened, and data the law requires us to keep. Leads you already sent to your own CRM are held there and must be deleted there.
Confirmation code
When a deletion is started from Facebook (step 4), Meta sends us a data deletion request. We reply with a confirmation code and a link to this page. Opening that link shows the status of your request at the top of the page. Keep the code and quote it if you contact us.
